The former Besco's shop on Ballybricken which has been lying idle and unused since 2007 is to be re-opened.

Centz an Irish owned discount store who have ten other stores throughout Ireland are set to re-open the store in October.

This is a major boost to the historic hill of Ballybricken which should see a huge upsurge in shoppers to this area of Waterford city.

Local business owners in the area have welcomed the decision to re-open the store who retail the majority of their stock at €1.50.

    Rush to CriticismThere are not many people who at this stage have not heard about the Cash family and what happened to them. The mother and six of her children had to seek accommodation in the Tallaght Garda Station last week as they had absolutely nowhere to turn to.
