The growing support for Jeremy Corbyn in Britain and the tremendous mobilisation of voters in America by Bernie Sanders show that the politics of equality based on people power is growing and building in strength says People Before Profit.

The description by Taoiseach Varadkar of his right wing Fine Gael-Fianna Fáil Government as the new European centre, and the witless floundering of the Teresa May regime in Britain show that austerity parties are lost and confused and unable to escape from the corporate interests that they serve.

At the same time, all across Europe, all across the world, and not least in Ireland, the Left, with its simple and powerful message of solidarity, justice and equality is growing and offering real hope and confidence to people who know that they can and must use their voice and their power to transform society.

A public meeting called Jeremy Corbyn and the Rise of the Left will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 6 July in the Unite Hall, Keiser Street, Waterford, and all are welcome. Leading the discussion will be Dr Kieran Allen, Sociologist and National Secretary of PBP.

This is a chance to join the conversation and help to build the movement for change.
