National Senior Championships on Saturday and Sunday

All of Ireland's top athletes will be in action this week end in Santry Stadium in Dublin in the Irish Life Health National Senior Track and Field Championships and many athletes from Waterford clubs will be there with four defending titles.On Saturday the programme begins at 12.15 pm and on Sunday -the big day for many finals -the event begins at 2.40 pm.

Waterford athletes defending titles are as follows,Thomas Barr Ferrybank the 400 metres hurdles- he has won the title for the past seven years, Thomas will be joined by his club mate Ben Kiely in the race, Cara Kennedy do is in the Hammer event which she has won six times in the past seven years, she also goes in the weight throw,Kate Veale West Waterford defends her 5000 metres walk title and among her opponents will be

    Rush to CriticismThere are not many people who at this stage have not heard about the Cash family and what happened to them. The mother and six of her children had to seek accommodation in the Tallaght Garda Station last week as they had absolutely nowhere to turn to.
