Tramore AFC

Munster Youths Tramore AFC 3-1 Piltown.

Following on from last weekends cancellation our Munster Cup last 32 fixture was moved to Graun Park for decision and on a weekend where there was blanket call offs the playing surface was in terrific condition as usual thanks to the trojan work of our grounds staff. The game kicked off at a very quick pace and we found ourselves ahead after 6 minutes when Cameron Kent reacted first after Micky Brennan had a long range shot parried. No sooner that 40 seconds later Cameron made it 2-0 with a fantastic strike from outside the box after spotting the keeper off his line. Inside the first 18 minutes there was more to come. Lee Kavanagh delivered a great free kick which Conor Butler headed home to make it 3-0.

We then switched off as Piltown took a quick free themselves and a deflected cross found its way into the net to give Piltown a chance.

That was all the scoring in the game and credit to the lads they withstood the Piltown pressure in the second half while still trying to play the way in which has stood them well all season. We are now in the last 16 of Munster and are rewarded with a home tie which will be played in mid January.
