Waterford Today weekly horoscopes

Wednesday 10th January - Tuesday 16th January

Aries 21st March-21st April

There’s a slow and steady energy building in your career sector from the start of the month up to and including the new moon in Capricorn on January 16th. Plan your resolutions by all means but, don’t worry about getting properly stuck in to them until that day. If you have important connections to make, calls to take or meetings to arrange, try to work it so they coincide with this date and the two weeks immediately after.

Taurus 22nd April-21st May

Some of us set the same new year resolutions every year, but this could be the year you actually manage to pull them off Taurus. There’s a sea change about you, and all the correct energies surround you, all the essential components are falling into place to make it easier for you to achieve what it is you want to achieve. There will be temptations to stray from the path, especially near the 14th, stay true to your course.

Gemini 22nd May-21st June

Expect something or someone to press a giant big finger on the pause button Gemini as it seems your plans for new year resolutions, health, fitness and purging of bad habits along with organising to the enth degree get put on a massive hold. Frustrating I know and you’ll be keen to push on through but whatever the hold-up is, ill health or some other unforeseen circumstance, there’ll be nothing to do but wait.

Cancer 22nd June-22nd July

It seems the year begins with everything up for review for Cancerians. In particular you could be looking at partnerships of all kinds and weighing up pros and cons. Whether it’s business or pleasure, you might decide that you’re not happy with the status quo and look at shifting the balance of power. Try to keep your temper in check when discussing your options.

Leo 23rd July-23rd August

Where have you been handing your power away Leo? As the new year starts you’ll be reviewing everything from your home to your work life and marking out where you want to make changes. There’ll be items you bump up against thinking you have no power to change them, but if you look closer you might just see that you had the power all along, you just failed to see it. Clear your throat for a great big roar!

Virgo 24th August-23rd September

With the festivities fading into the background you might feel like rebelling slightly and want to keep the party going. It might just be that you’re reluctant to take down the decorations and return to the humdrum of every day life (or are we just being lazy?). Commit to doing something with your partner or a friend at least once a week, whether that’s a walk on the beach or just grabbing a bite.

Libra 24th September-23rd October

Do your best to nurture your relationships with the women in your lift, particularly sisters and mothers, or any other female who plays an important role in supporting you. Do something to improve your home environment too, whether that’s decluttering, a good clean up or a complete revamp. You might even do an energy clearing with sage and salt, open windows and allow stuck energy to move out.

Scorpio 24th October-22nd November

You could find yourself in an awkward position when you find out something you’re pretty sure you’re not supposed to know. It might not directly affect you but just the knowing of it could raise your anxiety levels as you’re not sure what to do with the information. Known for your ability to keep secrets Scorpio, you must follow your intuition on this one.

Sagittarius 23rd November-21st December

You might be keen to get stuck in to new projects and get back to some kind of routine but the planets have other ideas and you could find yourself twiddling your thumbs for a bit. Some kind of delay, further up the chain of command could stall any progress of any kind. Nothing to do but wait I’m afraid. Beware though, the devil makes work for idle hands!

Capricorn 22nd December-20th January

Don’t allow a seed of self doubt to grow out of control and sabotage months of hard work. You’re quite likely to overthink things at the moment and maybe even to over-react to anything you hear as criticism. There’s a danger of throwing out the baby with the bath water if you convince yourself it’s all been for naught anyway. Ignore your negative self-talk.

Aquarius 21st January-19th February

A simmering tension could come to the boil this week as you realise you’ve had enough of someone’s antics. Take a few deep breaths before you decide to rip into someone. It’s not that you’re not justified in venting your frustrations, but it could be that it’s exactly what they want. People of a passive-aggressive nature are very hard to handle, try not to give them oxygen, starve them of attention of any kind if you can.

Pisces 20th February-20th March

Pace yourself Pisces! While we all like to try to harness the energy that the new year brings in, drastic changes to your lifestyle can bring some unwanted side effects if not thought out properly. You could end up putting yourself backwards instead of forging ahead triumphantly, especially if you’re not as young (or as fit) as you once were. Make smaller, more achievable goals your priority and build from there. Think SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely.

As dry as the SaharaIt seems that whenever the weather in Ireland goes a little bit extreme, we are somehow incapable of dealing with it. It has already happened so far this year with the snow that totally disrupted the country for about a week and also later on when some areas in the country were flooded due to excess rain. Now it is happening again because we are having to deal with a level of sunshine that is virtually unheard of in the country. And a level of sunshine that is going on for a good numbe …
