Easter Writing Camp for Children

WriteWords is running a creative writing camp for 8-12 year olds from Tuesday 18-Friday 21 April, which will give children the opportunity to be the hero of their own story.

During the camp, children will learn the techniques of storytelling and tap into their own storytelling power. ‘Children are instinctive storytellers,’ says author Derbhile Graham of WriteWords, who will be running the camp. ‘They have no fear. They just throw the words down onto the page, and they have wonderful imaginations.’ The children will create wacky characters, travel to strange lands and take off on exciting adventures. By the end of the camp, they’ll have created their very own story. The camp is ideal for bookworms, artists, dreamers, divas, rebels and any child who loves to express themselves. The camp is being held at the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre and will run from 10am-12pm each day. The camp costs €60 per child, with concessions for two children or more.
