Aries: March 21 – April 20

Life, and situations that have been concerning you, could be about to become more favourable. It is essential though, that you concentrate on the small, as well as the big things. I am always suggesting that people check everything before signing contracts and so forth – it is amazing how many of us don't - and there is a feeling that, in your case, all the small print will need to be looked at very carefully - and don't allow yourself to be rushed.

Taurus: April 21 – May 21

Trying to second guess the motives of other people can be futile and it is suggested that, in most cases, what you

Clear your clutter!

We all need a certain amount of order in our lives, otherwise there would be chaos. When we work on being organised, we often find that our energy flows better. I have a kitchen cupboard into which I put a lot of my clutter, with the intention of sorting it out later. Whenever I do get round to clearing it out, even though I can't see inside the cupboard, I feel as if the kitchen has more space and light. A clean and tidy room feels a whole lot different to a messy and dirty one!

Now that spring seems to have finally arrived, it's a good time to declutter all the unwanted books, clothes, furniture and

"Wishing You Well" Transition Year students at Newtown School are coming up with innovative ideas to make our community a better place through their project, "Wishing You Well". The students have linked with St. Patrick's Hospital as part of their Young Social Innovator project. The YSI Programme encourages young people to become more socially aware, to choose an area of social concern and to be innovative in their response to bring about positive change.

We chose to work with older people after learning that they are affected by many different health issues. Loneliness is a real concern and this can, all too often lead to isolation and depression. We contacted St. Patrick's Hospital and they were delighted to be part of this intergenerational project.

We got involved in YSI in September. It has

No more staffing delays - Mental Health Reform urges local action in Waterford

Mental Health Reform has asked the people of Waterford to contact their local elected representatives, in an effort to keep pressure on the Government to honour its commitment to appoint new staff for community mental health services this year. Orla Barry, Director of Mental Health Reform, commented: "Last year, we saw unacceptable delays in appointing the promised staff to community mental health teams. Such delays cannot be allowed to happen with the 477 new staff that have been promised for 2013. "

"These multidisciplinary staff include much needed psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and social care workers - to work alongside doctors and nurses in community mental health teams", Ms. Barry continued.

Mental Health Reform has urged people to put local pressure on their TDs to

Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists welcomes statutory regulation of physiotherapists

The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Health, Dr. James Reilly, of his intention to establish the Physiotherapists Registration Board.

The Society welcomes this long awaited development in the steps towards achieving statutory protection of the public, which the Society has been advocating since its inception. In the absence of state regulation the Society, as the Designated Authority, acts on behalf of the Minister to protect the public by accrediting pre-registration university programmes in physiotherapy and validating the qualifications of physiotherapists who were educated outside this country who wish to work in the Irish Public Health Services. As the sole professional body for Physiotherapists, the Society has always worked to protect the public by promoting high standards of professional education, practice, competence and conduct.

Biblical perspectives for living

acob and his sons arrived in Egypt as a clan of 70 some persons (Genesis 46:27), and enjoyed a favourable status because of Joseph's intervention in saving the nation from famine (47:5-6). But as the years went by, these Hebrews multiplied and were seen as a threat to national security (Exodus 1:7-10), so Pharaoh began a systematic program of oppression that culminated in his edict that all Hebrew baby boys be drowned in the Nile (1:22).

Nearly 600 years earlier, God had appeared to Abraham and promised to make him a great nation, (Genesis 12:1-3). These promises were repeated to Abraham's son, Isaac, and his grandson, Jacob, and while for more than 400 years there is no record of God communicating with them, God never forgot His promises. So when the time was right, He "remembered"
