Saturday night entertainment just got a whole lot better in the city, with the recent launch of Shortt’s 'Access All Areas’ Summer Sessions. A newly revamped upstairs dancefloor, The Loft, with it’s low ceiling, padded sound-proofed walls and new sound system is the perfect spot for techno & house music. The upstairs smoking area has also just had an upgrade so that part of the bar is now outdoors, perfect for those Saturday night Summer vibes. There’s always great summer party vibes on the Terrace and the best of live music in the Bar, so with 3 rooms of great music, 3 bars, 2 smoking areas and YOU, Shortts has got everything for your Summer Saturday Sessions. Full line up for this week is:

BAR – The Unusual Suspects are one of the top cover bands in the country, and after rocking out the Killarney Bikefest with a headline set last weekend, this Saturday they return to their favourite hometown venue to play a high energy 2 hour set of rock, pop and dance classics. Expect a full dancefloor of shiny happy people from start to finish. TERRACE – DJ Stephen Power returned to the Terrace on the recent June Bank Holiday Sunday and absolutely rocked the place after a couple of years away, playing clubs up and down the country. He is back 'by demand’ this Saturday to play a set of pumped up party tunes.

LOFT – Resident ALT8 has built up a strong following in Waterford over the last 12 months with his quality sets of house & techno. He rocked the WIT Arena to a crowd of 2,500 a few weeks ago when playing with Denis Sulta and Ejeca. He has also been booked for Daytripper 2018 to play alongside Rudimental.

And if you are out on the town on Friday night, Shortts is 'Boogie Wonderland’ for the night with Freddy & Chez (Backroad Smokers Club) in the Bar and BoogieBox with Marshal on the Terrace.
