Phil Grimes Pub, Fri June 1st

Subterranean Sounds are delighted to announce the return to Waterford of one of the UK's great songwriters. Peter Bruntnell, has long been in the vanguard of Americana performers, with NME stating his songs 'should be taught in schools'.

Bruntnell's music falls somewhere between the hook-laden melodies of Wilco and the country jangle of Out Of Time-era REM; and his live gigs are always bursting with energy, with no two the same. On this occasion, he comes to Waterford with two top class musicians, Iain Sloan on pedal steel and Danny Williams on double bass.

Opening the show at 8.15pm is Nimbus, the new project from Daithi Glas of In The Willows.

Tickets available from Phil Grimes Pub and at https://www.getticket.ie/e/21/peter-bruntnell-trio Peter Bruntnell Trio play Phil Grimes Pub. Fri June 1st Doors 8pm
