LEGENDARY actress/singer Doris Day is immortalised by West End performer Aileen Donohoe in a glorious celebration of her music and movies in Garter Lane on Saturday, May 12.

America's sweetheart, Doris Day enjoyed a spectacular career, spanning more than 30 years, from the the big band era to the golden age of Hollywood. A Date with Doris, which premiered in 2014 with sell-out shows in The Wexford Arts Centre, The National Concert Hall, Dublin, Cork Opera House and Mill Theatre, Dundrum is seen through the eyes of a very big 'Doris Day Fan' as she prepares for a very special date with her 'secret love'.

Aileen Donohue, a self-confessed Doris Day obsessive has been a professional singer for 15 years and has performed in London at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, The Royal Albert Hall and in West End Shows: Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast. A Date with Doris is Aileen's one-woman homage to the life and music of Doris and features classic songs such as Que Sera, Sera, On Moonlight Bay, Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps and iconic hits from the Wild West's most fearsome heroine, Calamity Jane.
