WLRFM's 'Fresh Eire' music festival takes over Shortts & the Terrace this Saturday with a fantastic line-up of live bands (Backroad Smokers, SON, Central Hall, Crome Yellow) and DJ/Producers (Between Ourselves, SX2, Jay Ru). Doors are 9pm and all proceeds go to the WLR Christmas Appeal in aid of the St Vincent de Paul. Full line-up details for the weekend ahead are as follows:

Friday – Suzie Q + Groove Djs

Suzie Q are one of the most popular cover bands in Waterford. The 5 piece always get a great reaction in Shortts with their high energy set of rock & pop classics. Out on the Terrace the Groove DJs will be getting you in weekend mode with their bag of funk, disco and house floor-fillers.

Saturday – "Fresh Eire" + Marshal (Project) + Good Times Djs

As well as the fantastic line up for the WLR 'Fresh Eire' event (with headliners Backroad Smokers Club playing the late slot in Shortts), Project resident Marshal will be playing a techno & house set upstairs and Good Times' Jay Ru will be playing the closing set on the Terrace.

Sunday – Rookie Thomson + Social Djs

There will be riffs aplenty at the Shortts Sunday Session this week, as Rookie Thomson take to the stage at the midnight hour to rock you into Monday morning with a set of classic rock covers that we all know and love. The Social on the Terrace will see out the weekend with another great mix of disco, funk, house and hip-hop.

    As dry as the SaharaIt seems that whenever the weather in Ireland goes a little bit extreme, we are somehow incapable of dealing with it. It has already happened so far this year with the snow that totally disrupted the country for about a week and also later on when some areas in the country were flooded due to excess rain.
