Free Gig – Saturday, 18 November

The Imagine Music & Arts festival's planned FREE outdoor gig at the Apple Market with Kila last month, fell victim to storm Brian. Kila agreed to reschedule as quickly as they could and true to their word, one of Ireland's truly legendary live bands will now take to the Apple Market stage on Saturday, 18 November (from 8pm to 10pm).

The set up will be similar to the Ham Sandwich gig which launched this brilliant new entertainment space for the city back in July of this year. That event brought 1,500 people into the Apple Market, creating a fantastic atmosphere for all. Expect a similar crowd for this one and an even more spectacular setting, as this will be the first one against the background of a dark sky and with the Apple Market's 'Winter Village' makeover in place.

Hailed as one of Ireland's most innovative and exciting bands, Kila's eight members come from different musical backgrounds and share a passion for creating great music with an ability to absorb influences from across the globe.

Kíla's music with its roots in traditional Irish, features strong percussive like singing and gorgeous melodies driven by a serious rhythmical undercurrent. Kíla have created their own distinctive style of world music, which has won over audiences all over the world through their nine albums to date and their spectacular live performances. Don't miss Kila at the Apple Market, where Waterford comes alive !
