Waterford's Countercultures 1979-1996 Fundraising Quiz

Against the Current is an audiovisual and book project that chronicles the origins, evolution and legacy of various countercultural movements and scenes - such as Bikers, Mods, Ska, Indie, and Underground Dance - that existed in Waterford between 1979 1996. This quiz will take place at Henry Downes Bar on 13 October at 8.30 p.m. it will feature questions relating to the countercultural movements and musical genres that are the focus of our project. Participants will compete for numerous prizes. There will also be a prize awarded to the most imaginatively named team and raffles for spot prizes. As a concluding part of this event, local DJs will play sets featuring some of the defining tracks of the movements and scenes that our project covers. The quiz will have a limit of 16 tables so advance booking is highly advisable; the cost will be €20 per table.
