Before there was Hamilton, there was In the Heights, the first Tony Award-winning musical from Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The focus of this musical revolves around the lives of the residents of Washington Heights, a predominantly Dominican-American neighborhood in New York City. The lives of the individuals, along with their struggles, hardships and triumphs are interwoven to form an elaborate and elegant tapestry of the neighbourhood.

The personality and character of the neighborhood is created through the show's colorful blend of urban and Latin American influences. Both the music and dance are an exciting fusion of hip hop and Latin.

Waterford's Ignite Productions bring you the chance to see this fabulous musical in their upcoming South East premiere production of the Broadway hit with an all star local cast which includes Greta Rochford, Vicki Graham, Brian Touhy, Anne Marie Collins and Tom Rodgers, to name but a few. Running from August 24th to 27th at 8pm nightly in the Theatre Royal tickets are now on sale from the box office on 051 874402 or online at http://www.theatreroyal.ie

You can book your ticket on its own or for only €25 you can get your ticket with a 12oz Paella and a bottle of Legacy Cider. What better way to finish off the summer!
