July 11th sees the official launch of AVENUE, Waterford's inaugural arts venue festival celebrating the wealth & diversity of arts spaces which define the character of the arts in the city. The series of events will feature a wide variety of great artists from across the country including Gerry Davis, Erin De Burca, Patrick Cahill & many more. The festival is led by the City's main arts venues (Garter Lane, Hive Emerging, Greyfriars, Index Gallery, Waterford Healing Arts Trust, Vulcan Box & SOMA) as well as being supported by a growing number of alternative arts spaces.

The festival will transform the whole of Waterford into an exhibition space, encouraging its inhabitants & visitors to explore the entire city while taking in the abundance of exhibitions, events & performances on offer.

The Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) is delighted to announce that Roscommon born musician Sharon Moore will perform at Waterford Regional Hospital (WRH) on Wednesday 26th June at 1:30pm as part of WHAT's Healing Sounds music programme.

Sharon Moore began her music career as a teenager playing gigs in her hometown of Roscommon with various local bands. As a keen guitarist and singer, Sharon moved to the south east to complete her music degree in the Waterford Institute of Technology, majoring in voice and performance. Following this Sharon received an MA in music therapy at the University of Limerick.

Sharon has been playing and teaching African drumming for over ten years and has experience in a variety of different singing and drumming techniques from all over the world including West Africa, New Zealand and Native America. She is currently a singer and
