At 17 Jenny was given her own weekly column in the Sunday World newspaper. That same year she became the youngest DJ on radio on Dublin station FM 104.

Jenny made the move to the national broadcaster in 2007 where she presents Friday ans Saturday nights 7pm to 10pm on RTE 2 FM.

This year Jenny made the foray into music production, releasing her debut track 'Autumn Gold' with a follow up track already in the pipeline. She continues to sell out the biggest venues all across Ireland. You can catch Jenny the May Bank holiday weekend in Club Masons Friday 3rd May.

Free Bealtaine Festival talks on the Golden Era of Céilí Music

'The Golden Era of Céilí Music and Dance 1955 – 1970' is the title of a talk which will take place on Saturday May 4th 2013 in Waterford Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford city at 11 am followed by an afternoon session at 3pm in the Old Market House Arts Centre, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

The talk will be presented by Brian Lawler, the founder of the Ardellis Céilí Band. The Ardellis first broadcast on Irish National Radio in 1957. Céilí Music and Dance was very popular all over Ireland at that time, with many halls in every one of the 32 counties packed to capacity.

Not only are Timmy and Karen Waterford's biggest breakfast show they are celebrating their 2nd birthday on The Big Breakfast Blaa. The most recent Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) show just why WLR fm is officially Ireland's 'Local Station of The Year' and 'The Big Breakfast Blaa' is one of the biggest breakfast programmes in the country.

Music at the Museum is delighted to present a choral event for the May second Sunday lunchtime concert. Female voice choir, Voci, directed by Fintan Scanlon, and mixed voice choir Ad Hoc Chorale directed by Cian O'Carroll, will perform on Sunday 12th May at 12.30 pm.

Based in Waterford, Voci was founded by Anne Barry and is currently conducted by Fintan Scanlon. Since its establishment in 2005, the choir has been contributing to the musical life of the city, giving recitals and sharing concerts with other local groups. Voci has had competitive successes at Arklow and New Ross Choral Festivals. The choir's repertoire explores a range of music from early polyphony to arrangements of light music and also includes music by Irish composers.
