This week Fianna Fail Local Election Candidate Eamon Quinlan called for the creation of a taskforce with representatives from Government, Local authorities, the IDA, Waterford

Enterprise board and other regional stakeholders to combat Waterford's chronic unemployment crisis.

Addressing the fact that the Live Register figures for Waterford have remained stubbornly high for the previous 4 years Quinlan said 'The time has come to pull our resource's and place our political will behind creating a body whose sole role is the creation of long term employment'

What is Waiver of Premium?

A waiver of premium is a rider which can be attached typically to a life insurance policy, which ensures that the policy will continue to be in effect even if the policyholder experiences a loss of income. These riders are mostly used in life insurance policies so that the policy will fully mature and be available to the survivors of the policyholder when he or she dies. What is Assets Risk

Classification?

Before investors put their cash into a particular asset or asset class, they first seek to gauge the returns and risk they could expect from the different types of assets available. Fund managers constantly seek this type of information in order to maximize returns for investors – this leads to what is termed as "the herd mentality", where too many investors rush into the markets blindly chasing stocks they've heard about and try to make a big score overnight.

Modern portfolio theories have proven through research that this does not make money consistently over the long term. Does my Mortgage

Protection Policy cover mortgage arrears?

A study of the Central Bank's most recent quarterly arrears report, which looked at the growing arrears on the 100,000+ Irish homeowners in difficulty, has found that many of these families are also significantly underinsured as a result. This is because when the mortgage repayments fall behind, not only do homeowners fall into arrears, but their Mortgage Protection cover also becomes insufficient. These homeowners will inevitably find that a substantial proportion of their mortgage debt will remain outstanding should either party die unexpectedly and the mortgage policy pays out. This may come as a shock to a surviving spouse or partner at a time when they can least afford it, as the standard Mortgage Protection policy used in Ireland simply doesn't allow for arrears, particularly at the current scale.

When homeowners take out a mortgage

  • Children in the womb deserve b...

The Government wants us to vote "yes" in the abortion referendum in order to delete unborn children's right to life and allow abortion on demand in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion campaigners claim that there is no human being yet alive by this point. That's why they think abortion on demand is permissible. They are completely wrong. By 12 weeks the baby in the womb has a beating heart, can swallow and yawn, can kick, stretch and jump, has arms, legs, fingers and toes, has fingernails and hair, h …
